"Big Joe" Williams Poster
Joseph Lee Williams, or "Big Joe," was an Mississippi Blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He was notable for creating such a distinctive sound with his unique nine-string guitar. Using type as a visual element, I wanted to use the symbolism of his noteable nine guitar strings. Using tools like liquefy, outer shadows, and textures, I was able to represent Williams in a more abstracted way.
